Completed the overhaul on this Ibanez GRX40JE earlier tonight. Work began with a neck pitch reset, effected via the installation of a silicon carbide shim in the neck pocket. The neck is now angled ever so slightly downwards; the way it should be. Following this, the GRX40JE was strung with PRS Classic 9-42s, and setup commenced. This included run-of-the-mill truss rod, action, under-string radius and intonation adjustments; as well as a little work on the low E nut slot. Finally, here are some before/after pics for your viewing pleasure. Images of the guitar after overhaul will be on the right or lower half of each collage, depending on the orientation.
