Bridge and Electronics
This post focuses on the bridge and electronics of this Congress BW-4151CB. The rear edge of the weather-beaten wooden bridge is missing. What's left of this bridge isn't really attached to the top any more. It's just held in place by a few bridge pins and the piezo pickup cable. The area of the top directly under the bridge is full of glue residue, and has started to swell. I'll have to address these issues before attempting a bridge reglue.
Electronics-wise, the guitar sports an unbranded generic preamp featuring a four-band EQ with sweepable mid boost/cut and a mute button. Based on how new it looks, I reckon this preamp did not come stock with the guitar, but was installed by a previous owner. Really nice, except that all the sliders and knobs are jammed, and the 9V battery holder is missing. It's a safe bet that I'll be replacing the whole preamp somewhere down the line.
