Part One: As Received
This Ibanez RG480AH [Serial Number F99 47420] arrived in absolutely unplayable condition. The current owner is the third, according to the second owner.
As luck would have it, the second owner is also a regular client of mine. He recognized the guitar immediately, and revealed that he bought it off the owner of a rehearsal studio in Pekan. Small world, isn't it?
I did some digging around the web, and found a wealth of information concerning this guitar on the Ibanez Wiki. It seems that the RG480AH was only produced in 1999 in Japan in two finishes, DRS [Deep Red Sunburst] and MS [Marine Sunburst].
In the next section, we'll take a look at some specifications. Kindly take note that a previous owner has replaced the stock Ibanez V6F bridge pickup with a DiMarzio humbucker [US Patent 4.501 185]; and the tremolo arm is missing.
