Part Four: Repairs and Upgrades
This post highlights various repairs and upgrades carried out on a 1990 FujiGen Gakki Ibanez RG770 [Serial Number F016467]. Of particular interest is the introduction of a Bourns 10A500K push-pull tone pot into the circuit. In switch positions 2 [Neck/Middle] and 4 [Middle/Bridge], pulling up on the pot kills the signal from one of the humbucker's coils; producing convincing S-style "in-between" tones.
