Introducing Lyrachord®
At the outset of this post, allow me to say a little about "Lyrachord," the unique man-made material used to construct the back and sides of this Ovation CS24-4.
Ovation describes Lyrachord® as being "a high tech fiberglass composite material that can be precision-molded to any shape," such as the contoured sides and semi-parabolic back on this CS24-4.

Let's begin our journey with a close look at the left/upper side of this CS24-4. Besides the upper bout strap button, the left side also houses an Ovation OP-4CT Preamp. The OP-4CT comprises two components - a dedicated 9V battery box, and the preamp module itself.

Besides a strap button, there is nothing much to see at the rear end of this Ovation CS24-4. However, flipping the body over draws one's attention to the unique semi-parabolic shape of the Lyrachord® back. The back is also where the output jack socket is installed.

The main feature on the lower/right side of this guitar is a Venetian cutaway. It looks quite ordinary when viewed from above. However, in profile view, one immediately notices how the precision-molded Lyrachord® sides have imbued this cutaway with some really unique contours.
