The Samick Royale RL1 Semi-Hollowbody featured in this post came in yesterday. It hasn't been played in years, and is in none too good shape. There's dirt, dust, rust and crud all over the place; for starters. Also, somewhere along the way the output jack got loose and fell into the body. We'll have to see if the electronics work as they should, later. The most obvious issue is the poor condition of the fretboard and frets. The fretboard definitely needs to be scrubbed clean and reconditioned. As for the frets, they're terribly pitted, worn and uneven. The owner has agreed to a fret dressing, good for him.
