In this post, we get up close and personal with a Taylor 514ce Grand Auditorium Acoustic-Electric Guitar, as well as the Taylor Grand Auditorium Deluxe Brown Hardshell Case it comes in. I'm very impressed with the case, which features a textured dark brown vinyl covering, foam padding covered in a plush crushed velvet lining, double neck cradles, a faux leather padded handle, brass-plated latches, bottom and side feet, and an accessories compartment.

As for the 514ce itself, it is indeed a breathtaking instrument. Sadly, years of neglect have taken their toll, as can be clearly seen in the video. At the very least, a good dusting, cleaning and polishing will do this guitar a world of good. Besides the obvious tarnish, crud and grime, the lifting bridge is indeed cause for concern. Well then, I guess I've got my work cut out for me.
