Cajon Method/Schule Tutorial
One section of the Sela Snare Cajon Kit "Assembly Instructions" Manual is dedicated to a tutorial entitled "Cajon Method/Schule." I Googled "schule," and found out that it's German for "school." But I digress. Back to the tutorial, then. Sela believes that the combination of Cajon Method/Schule and Martin Röttger Cajon Method CD "offers every beginner the perfect introduction to playing" the cajon. Cajon Method/Schule covers fundamentals and essential playing techniques; as well as rock, bossa nova, rumba and samba styles. Each style, in turn, is presented in four variations and three degrees of difficulty [simple, expanded and continuous]. As for the CD, Sela describes it as "a great playback for each musical style in two versions - with cajon to hear how it should sound and without to play along to."
