Howdy folks! As some of you might already know, I am currently recuperating at home after hip surgery on January 14. Imagine my surprise when I found out that a number of old friends from the '80s were coming down from KL to pay me a visit today [February 9]. They were my classmates from TTC days, i.e. Param, Gautaman, and Leela, as well as a senior; Haima. Gautaman looked a bit tired. Turns out that he had to take an overnight bus from Sungai Petani to KL to meet up with the rest of the gang before proceeding to Kuantan.
We had a wonderful time catching up. Now, we'd not seen each other since 1983; so there was certainly a lot of catching up to do. When it was time to bid farewell, I was in for another surprise. It seems that these kind-hearted folks had collected quite a tidy sum from well-wishers and were here to hand it over. Joy, oh joy! This would help offset the various expenses I'd incurred in purchasing items such as a single bed, air mattress, wheelchair and walker; to name a few. All said and done, I am truly thankful for having such good friends. God bless them.

It's fantastic to know that old friends haven't forgotten you. They are one of the best healers. Hope you get better soon. You have some fond, warm memories to keep you company when you most need it. Take care cuzzie, get well soon. Keeping you in my prayers.
