It was way past noon when we packed up and left Dewan Jubli Perak Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah, after enjoying a delicious lunch, that is. Our second gig of the day would be at "Gema Citra Pahang 1st Parlimen Cameron Highlands" in Sungai Koyan. We'd be backing not only Zaki Yamani and Haqim Rusli, but also Roslan Madun, Rosma Sidik, and Kopratasa. Once again, the organizers were thoughtful enough to set us up with a decent homestay, this time across the road from the Sungai Koyan Police Station.
The images you see in this post were captured soon after we'd arrived at Laman Sejahtera Jelai, the venue for the night's events. Although eager to set up and have a sound check with the artists, we had to wait awhile as a solo singing competition was still in progress. This was followed by a full rehearsal which included a captivating "Sewang" performance by Kumpulan Sri Alam from Pos Betau.
