Here is an HSH solidbody made by Team J. Craft of Japan. My first impression is that it's an Ibanez JEM Series knockoff. It's got a three-piece maple neck, locking tuners, double-locking trem system, 24-fret rosewood fretboard; and vine inlays. And yes, the last four frets are scalloped. Well, as they say; imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
Anyhow, the owner had bought two new humbuckers, Gotoh volume and tone pots; as well as a 0.022uF Sprague "orange drop" capacitor. Only problem was, he had no idea how to to wire the circuit. OK, I'd take care of that. Besides these, he'd also bought a new Floyd Rose Licensed tremolo system to replace the stock unit. Once again, no problem.
Everything was going fine and dandy until I realized that even with the Floyd Rose at its lowest, the strings were way too high off the fretboard. The most viable solution would be to fabricate a tapered wooden neck pocket shim that would increase the neck angle (pitch) and lower the action. Once the shim had been installed, setup proceeded as normal and this HSH solidbody was ready to rock once again.
