This post, the first of five, covers the main features of a 1992 Stratocaster Plus that came in suffering from various ailments. I ended up refretting the neck, doing a complete rewire (including the three Fender-Lace Gold Sensors), and replacing all six saddles.

Ibanez RGA42 BK

This post features a 2009 Indonesian made Ibanez RGA42 with active electronics. The black beauty came in for a string change, and I took this opportunity to share some specs and pics with readers.

Cort SJB5F NS (Natural Satin)

This semi-acoustic bass came in for a string change. Saddle and nut work was also carried out as the strings were too high off the fretboard, making it difficult to play. Specs are from the Cort website.

Ibanez SA260FM BBS

The previous owner of  this 2009 Indonesian-made Ibanez had replaced the stock AHS1 neck pu with a DiMarzio DP184 and bridge 'True Duo Bucker' with a DiMarzio DP107. He'd also added a push-pull tone pot (for splitting the coils of the DP107) and Gotoh 3-way switch, and disconnected the middle (AHS2) pickup. Work done on this baby included a refret and rewiring, as well as replacing faulty electronics.
