Fender MIJ ST72-55 Overhaul | Part 1

Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4 | Part 5 | Part 6

Pak Long Comes A-Calling

It's November 30, and Pak Long from Pekan is here at CA Guitar Repair. He'd like me to take a look at one of his guitars, a somewhat modified Fender Made in Japan ST72-55 Stratocaster. Non-original features on this guitar include a transparent tremolo cavity cover, a vintage-style braided shield tremolo claw ground, a 500K volume pot, and a brass nut.

Pak Long has been experiencing some string buzz in the upper register, and believes that there's something not quite right with the frets. He's asked me to thoroughly check the fretwork, and do whatever I feel is necessary to rectify the situation. Pak Long has also given me the green light to go ahead and fix any other problems I discover on his ST72-55.
