Preamble
The gorgeous guitar featured in this post was at CA Guitar Repair recently for servicing and a setup. Handcrafted at
Shüe Guitar Engineering, the "Shamsul Signature HSS" is a one-off custom build, and draws inspiration from Shüe's New Classic Series [NC-S]. This signature model is indeed noteworthy, based on features such as custom graphics, a premium hard shell case, the use of resonant local tonewoods, handwound pickups, top-notch hardware, and high-quality electronic components. All these features shall be discussed in greater detail further down the line.

Shamsul Signature HSS | Original Hard Shell Case
The Shüe Shamsul Signature HSS comes with an Original Hard Shell Case [OHSC]. External features include a tweed and vinyl covering, white plastic piping, aged brass hardware, a faux leather handle, and a locking latch with key set.

Opening the case reveals plush interior lining, a spacious accessory compartment, and even a built-in hygrometer. Accompanying paperwork includes a signed Certificate Of Authenticity [COA] from Shüe founder Ray Akira, and the
Gotoh 510T/510TS Operation Manual. It should also be noted that the COA incorporates detailed specifications pertaining to the Shamsul Signature HSS.

Shamsul Signature HSS | Headstock
This guitar features a reversed headstock. Its face is finished in gloss black, and decorated with a gilded Shüe logo. The back of the headstock is unfinished, and features burned-in custom graphics as per the owner's specifications. Rounding off the headstock appointments are a set of Gotoh Magnum Lock-Trad 6-In-Line Tuners. As the tuner posts are staggered, there is no need for string retainers.
