November 19 2011. Roland TR-707 Rhythm Composer (Serial Number 716393). Property of a local dance club and used every night by the resident band. The snare drum keeps cutting in and out due to a worn out volume slider. Could not locate a suitable replacement in Kuantan, so the quickest solution was a "double bypass." With the snare drum volume slider bypassed, the output signal goes straight into a dedicated channel on the FOH mixer. Now the soundman not only has independent control over the snare volume, but can also tweak its EQ to his heart's content.
